<p>The article explores the phenomenon of the piano miniature in the works of I. F. Stravinsky as a special platform for genre and stylistic experiments. The author examines the issues related to the creation of a miniature as a laboratory for genre experimentation in the piano works of F. I. Stravinsky. The importance of piano music in the field of musical art is emphasized. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that it was in the small piano pieces that the composer freely combined the «baroque style and the syncopated rhythm of modernity,» and even referred to the «night music» of the 18th century, as well as to jazz and tango. The novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive analysis of several miniatures (etudes, «Five Fingers,» «Piano-Rag-Music,» «Serenade in A,» and others), based on precedent sources and the latest publications. The methodology is based on a formal and thematic analysis of the plays, as well as a comparison of stylistic techniques and references to the composer’s statements. It has been revealed that in his miniatures, Stravinsky deliberately returns to previous genres (Baroque, Classical, and Russian Folklore) and reinterprets them in the spirit of Neoclassicism. It has also been determined that Stravinsky’s miniatures serve as a «laboratory» where the composer’s «trifles» are more valuable than many extensive sonatas. In this article, the author examines the periods of I. F. Stravinsky’s piano compositions and their characteristics in different historical eras. The article also explores the genre experiments in Stravinsky’s piano miniatures. In conclusion, the author concludes that Stravinsky’s piano miniatures serve as a laboratory for genre experiments. They encompass a wide range of musical styles and incorporate elements of contemporary music.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>фортепианная миниатюра</kwd><kwd>жанр</kwd><kwd>стиль</kwd><kwd>неоклассицизм</kwd><kwd>Игорь Стравинский</kwd><kwd>эксперименты</kwd><kwd>лаборатория</kwd><kwd>творчество</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>piano miniature</kwd><kwd>genre</kwd><kwd>style</kwd><kwd>neoclassicism</kwd><kwd>Igor Stravinsky</kwd><kwd>experiments</kwd><kwd>laboratory</kwd><kwd>creativity</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Асафьев Б.
