<p>This article examines the main pathogens and their transmission routes in dentistry, as well as infection control mechanisms. It discusses various viruses (SARS-CoV-2, hepatitis B and C, HIV, influenza, RSV) and bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Staphylococcus aureus, Legionella pneumophila) that can be transmitted through aerosols, blood, saliva, and other contact surfaces. Particular attention is given to the risks associated with dental procedures and precautions to minimize them. The article emphasizes the importance of systematically implementing infection control measures to reduce the risk of disease transmission in dentistry. Particular attention is paid to staff training, adherence to protocols, and the development of an infection control culture, which is key to successfully combating infections in dental practice.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>гигиена рук</kwd><kwd>средства индивидуальной защиты</kwd><kwd>аэрозоли</kwd><kwd>стерилизация</kwd><kwd>дезинфекция</kwd><kwd>скрининг</kwd><kwd>иммунизация</kwd><kwd>туберкулёз</kwd><kwd>гепатит</kwd><kwd>ВИЧ</kwd><kwd>COVID-19</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>hand hygiene</kwd><kwd>personal protective equipment</kwd><kwd>aerosols</kwd><kwd>sterilization</kwd><kwd>disinfection</kwd><kwd>screening</kwd><kwd>immunization</kwd><kwd>tuberculosis</kwd><kwd>hepatitis</kwd><kwd>HIV</kwd><kwd>COVID-19</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Araujo M.W., Andreana S.
